anyone have any suggestions on which used minivans to buy is the chevy uplander or town and country worth buying

myself and my brother recently bought used siennas at the auction. they seem to be a popular van at auction but it depends if you buy on red or green light. We are both very happy with them. great car, clean engine not all gooky like american cars. it comes in v4 and v6. just a car to keep in mind, unless ur hooked on american. but mileage is important and lifestyle of the owner (smoker/slob) highway miles etc… good luck!
My mom has a sienna and loves it, if that helps.

A few years ago when I was looking for a used vehicle one or two years old, I found Edmunds.com and ConsumerReports.org to be quite useful in researching features, safety, mileage, comfort, etc.
Edmunds is free, while Consumer Reports requires membership.
The older the vehicle is, the more likely it is to deviate from the baseline, and the less useful a review of a model is.
For the last several years the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna have taken turns as the best and close-second-best minivans.
If either one of these is an option, I’d consider it first.
Just as someone can allow you to read his print subscription to a periodical without necessitating obtaining permission from the publisher, you can read someone’s online subscription, given his permission, without necessitating obtaining permission from the publisher. You have no more restrictions or obligations on a non-physical subscription than you do on a physical one.
If you’re looking for a piece of history, by all means get a Chrysler.

Is that a psak you received, a svora of yours or that you heard, something you derived from Choshen Mishpat, etc?
I don’t myself know the halacha if they had replied that they didn’t allow it, but my svara in the following three levels of sharing would be:
1) The account owner logs on, someone else reads the articles – that would be the same as your example of lending a purchased publication.
2) Giving one individual the User ID / Password – tricky; was the account set up “al tnai” that this not be done? Is it then genaivas daas? Does whether or not the other person would otherwise pay for the info enter into the cheshbon?
3) Making the User ID / Password widely available – this seems to me a clear case of creating a hefsid for the publication.
If you or anyone else knows the halocha, pratim, psakim and mekoros regarding these questions I’d be interested.

My psak is based upon your first example. The second, as you stated, can depend on the situation. And the third, in all likelihood, is unacceptable.
