YW has been receiving numerous reports about a hand Matzoh shortage in Lakewood. YW has confirmed that this in fact the case in many stores in Lakewood. Time is running out, so please make sure to get Matzoh from alternative sources. (Perhaps we can arrange to have the “Matzoh Bus” travel to Lakewood for a few days!)

Can you imagine Lakewood people needing to eat Machine Matzah?! gasp!!!
it isnt just lakewood with the shortage, its everywhere – we are bh a growing nation and need more matza available (and at better prices)
YW-As far as the bus..with the smoke comin out of it-he might want to take the train tracks…lol
I was in Rockland Kosher on Monday and hand matzo was in great supply
we should take this into consideration for next years matzah crop…. maybe we should start looking for other places to grow matzah
move the bus from Monsey to Lakewood and make matzah
IMAGINE, LAKEWOOD IS SOOOO FAAAAAR AWAY THAT THEY CAN’T COME OR MAKE A CALL TO B.P. OR WILLIAMSBURGH, OR DOES IT HAVE TO BE L’SHEM MATZOS LAKEWOOD
The shortage problem was not premediated. After calling many stores in the Boro Park/Flatbush area including 2 Matzo bakeries, I was told that every year they are left with many thousands of pounds of Matzoh after Pesach and being that they sell them to stores very cheaply, they decided to bake less Matzohs.
move the motzo bus to lakewood
I had to buy Chabura Matzo at the CO-OP for 56.00 for two pounds. I think it’s time for the Lakewood Matzo Bakery to have a little competition.
Matzoh Prices are rising faster than anything, maybe the bakeries should get together and lower their prices. It just might ease the shortage
no one complains how much cars or houses are only matzo
GED … OK I HAVE SOME MATZOS TO SELL YOU, I’LL GIVE IT TO YOU CHEAP $1,000.00 PER POUND AND FOR BEING SO NICE AND NOT COMPLAING ABOUT I’LL THROW IN WINE FOR $50.00 DOLLARS A BOTTLE, AND EVEN A ESROG EARLY BIRD SPECIEL $700.00
BUT YOU CAN’T COMPLAIN…………………..
The matza shortage is not limited to Lakewood. I have talked to friend in Toronto and in Chi. who are getting less what they ordered. The problem is that last year there was a CHEAP MATZA from Romania . that all the stores ordered and cut down on matza from US bakeries. This year they ordered the same amount from the US bakeries as last year not taking in to account that matza co. from from Romania did not produce matza this year. Causing a big shortage this year.
The Lakewood matza Bakery has been working overtime the whole to supply Lakewood with Matza (last nite and tonite till 3:00 AM ).
Lakewood matza sells very fast because of meny HEDURIM they have like all Shomer Shabbos workers. ect. ect.
‘Lakewood matza sells very fast because of meny HEDURIM they have like all Shomer Shabbos workers. ect. ect. ‘
I’ve been told that all bakeries now use Shomer Shabbos workers.
Just as follow-up to my previous post. I sent my daughters to Friedmans grocery on 13th ave and 40th and they have plenty of Lakewood and Keristerir Matzos in stock.
most bakeries still do not have shomor shabbos workers
I heard that in Chicago a Bakery closed down, they usually supply 10,000 puonds, & that caused the shortage.
plus the “bus” isn’t baking 🙁
that is why it is called lechem oni lechem that MAKES you poor
