Public Security Minister Yitzchak Aharonovich indicated on Wednesday that demolition orders against illegal Arab homes in the eastern capital will be carried out very soon, perhaps in the coming days. He indicated the launching of indirect talks, dubbed the “proximity talks” between Israel, the PA (Palestinian Authority) and the United States will not impact this reality.
Speaking in Knesset on Wednesday, Yom Yerushalayim, he explained the demolition orders have been delayed as not to interfere with White House efforts to re-launch talks in Israel. At present he added, there are no orders instructing any additional delays in actualizing demolition orders.
