Investigators involved in the Holyland case are indicating former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will most likely be questioned as a suspect in the coming days. Officials are also indicating suspicion surrounding the former prime minister’s brother, Dr. Yossi Olmert, will not hasten or delay the process involving Ehud Olmert.
According to a Channel 2 report, the four Olmert brothers inherited property in Binyamina. When one of the brothers, Dr. Yossi became entangled in major debts, compelling him to flee to the United States, the other brothers bought his share, giving him NIS 650,000.
It is alleged that that money came from the Holyland bribery bank, the same fund that involves Shula Zaken and Meir Rabin.
