CRC Kashrus Alerts 5/05/10

Jelly Belly Candies have been displayed in some stores with the OK Kosher sign in them. The OK Kosher Certification does not certify Jelly Belly Candies. They are certified by the OU (Orthodox Union) when bearing OU.

Berripop Frozen Yogurt Stores may have signs posted indicating that their stores re certified by OK Kosher Certification. OK Kosher Certification does not certify the Berripop Frozen Yogurt Stores or their products. Corrective action is being taken.

Please note that Hamisada restaurant is no longer certified by the RCC (Los Angeles) in spite of the appearance of the RCC logo on their sign, menu, website or business cards. In our assessment the establishment must have a Mashgiach and they have not been able to maintain one.

Bigelow Pomegranate Pizzazz Tea is certified as KOF-K Parve, even if missing the hechsher. Future packaging will be corrected.

The COR certification is pleased to announce their certification on Pizza Café, 3774 Bathurst Street, Toronto, Canada. This establishment is now under new ownership.

The MK (Montreal Kosher) is pleased to advise that further to our previous instruction regarding peppers, currently peppers no longer have to go through the same process of washing and checking, which was previously required. All that has to be done with peppers is to cut off the top, wash it well and carry out a visual check to ensure that there are no worms.
