Israel’s Arab citizens have announced they are joining forces with their PA (Palestinian Authority) brethren, deciding they too will begin boycotting goods manufactured in yishuvim throughout Yehuda and Shomron.
According to the Channel 2 News report, the Israeli Arab Monitoring Committee has launched the impetus to include Israeli Arab citizens in the growing boycott. The northern branch of the Israel Islamic Association on Wednesday also announced its support of the move, which includes some 600 products produced in settlements.
Earlier in the week, the PA announced that its residents will no longer be permitted to work in yishuvim, calling upon them to find alternative arrangements or they will face up to five years imprisonment and/or up to a $14,000 fine.
In a recent statement, Minister of Galil & Negev Development (Likud) Silvan Shalom stated the policy is not one conducive with peace-making efforts, adding that while Israel continues working to improve the PA economy, the work ban will place an additional 25,000 PA residents on the unemployment list.

And yet Israeli businessmen keep hiring Arab workers to save a buck. When are we going to realize that this is a poor practice.
Israeli businessmen do not hire Arab workers simply “to save a buck” as commenter #1 would have us believe.
They hire them because it is beneath the dignity of Jewish workers to do the work themselves.
It’s simple (but tragic) economics.
