It has been almost a year since the High Court of Justice sentenced former Finance Minister Avraham Hirschson to prison, sending him away for five years and five months on his fraud/bribery conviction.
According to a News-1 report, the former minister and senior Histadrut Labor Federation official has since been compelled to sell his estate at 35 Dresner Street in Ramat Aviv Gimmel, a sale that netted NIS 6 million, which was confiscated towards paying his fines in accordance with his conviction and settlement.
Labor federation pension fund officials succeeded in playing a lien on his assets in the hope of retrieving the money he stole. The lien also applies to Miki Zuler, a former director of the pension fund. The lien is in the amount of NIS 170 million as a result of losses incurred by the fund since they made off with the funds.
