According to a Kikar Shabbat report, Migdal Ha’emek Chief Rabbi Yitzchak David Grossman Shlita denies rumors that he has withdrawn from the race for Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Yerushalayim. According to reports circulating in the chareidi media, Rav Grossman, who heads the Mosdos Migdal Ohr announced he was leaving the race, an announcement that he reportedly denied.

Rav Grossman told Kikar that Hashem will decide, and if he is destined to become the chief rabbi of Yerushalayim, he will accept the post. He admits that he is in a quandary, contemplating the move which would entail his leaving the city and his mosdos, which he built over several decades since his arrival.
