The teen that reportedly fell during a Golan Heights hike on Tuesday appears to have sustained serious injuries. The 15-year-old girl was on a school trip from her Rishon L’Tzion school when she apparently lost her footing, taking the fall and sustaining a head injury.
She injured girl was transported by helicopter to the trauma unit of Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, where she arrived in an altered mental state, with preliminary reports listing her in moderate-to-serious condition. The air force’s ‘669’ airborne rescue unit responded to the call for assistance from Golan search & rescue officials.
A second girl from the same group fractured a leg and was transported to Poriah Hospital in Tiveria.
