Hamas leader Khaled Meshal, who is based in Damascus, responded to a letter sent to him last week by Mr. Noam Shalit, the father of captive IDF soldier Gilad Shalit.

The terrorist leader tells Shalit that the leaders of the Zionist Entity are responsible for his son’s continued imprisonment.

“Your leaders are responsible for the failure to reach an agreement to date” he continued in an address before supporters in Syria.

In his letter, Shalit called on Meshal to rise above the organization’s political interests and do what is best for the Palestinian people, to accept the Israeli proposal.
