Exeter Township, PA – The cease and desist order against a kosher poultry plant in Exeter Township, Berks County will be lifted.
But the Mehadrin Kosher Poultry Plant must apply for an industrial waste permit, install testing equipment, and pay about $95,000 in back sewer bills by tomorrow.
The township supervisors filed the cease and desist last week. They said the plant was discharging too many gallons of waste water per day.
The plant denied any wrong-doing.
