Settlers are being blamed for a graffiti attack on an outer wall of a Chawarah mosque, a PA village located in the Shechem area. According to reports based on information furnished by villagers to authorities, the vandals also damaged other property and tried to set a gas station ablaze, but were prevented from doing so by residents.
The Yerushalayim organization, a group defining itself as “settlers seeking peace in the land” condemn the attack, with Eliaz Cohen, a resident of Kibbutz Kfar Etzion in Gush Etzion stating “I hope those involved were not residents of Yehuda and Shomron, since most of the residents are indeed law-abiding, wishing to live in peace alongside their Arab neighbors and they would not damage their homes or houses of worship”.
