Tragedy struck the Lakewood community on Thursday night, when a 55-year-old man was R”L struck and killed by a vehicle.
The accident happened on New Central Avenue, near Westgate at around 8:00PM.
The victim was found in traumatic arrest by arriving Hatzoloh members.
Paramedics rushed the victim to MMCSC with CPR in progress.
Tragically, he was Niftar at the hospital.
Lakewood Traffic Safety division is investigating.

UPDATE: The Niftar has been identified as R’ Peretz Scheinerman Z”L. The Levaya will be held on Friday morning at the Lakewood Chapel on East 7th Street at approx 11:30AM.
The Kevura will be at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont at approx 2:00PM.

It was R’ Peretz Scheinerman originally from the Forshay neighborhood of Monsey. Levy is this morning, but I’m not sure when.
