The well-known dilemma as to whether to continue learning in Yeshiva or take steps to learn a profession continues today more than ever. With the burden of parnasa, many bochurim spend a few years in yeshiva and then are forced to leave and work, and without the proper tools, settle for less remunative employment.

Now, there is a true win-win solution. The Jerusalem College of Technology (“Machon Lev”) offers a full and well respected degree in Business Administration in English, while at the same time allowing the student to continue learning in Yeshiva. All the courses are concentrated into two half days – Tuesday afternoon and Friday morning, thus minimally affecting the time in Yeshiva. This BA program runs for three and a half years. Another possibility is our internationally renowned computer program which is a four afternoons a week program. As all classes begin in the afternoon, learning in Yeshiva is certainly possible.

In picking a college, several matters are of great importance. As a Yeshiva student, the religious atmosphere should be a major factor. Tuition, job placement and close teacher-student contact are also important elements.
