Why on earth are you posting this?
It doesn’t exactly have that Yiddeshe taam.
GOOD MORNING
I THINK THAT YOUR BLOG MIGHT BE ONE OF THE GREATEST THINGS ON THE ENTIRE WEB, HOWEVER THIS POST MIGHT GIVE KIDS SOME IDEAS IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.
KOL TUV A FREILLICHIN PURIM
I don’t mean to be a party pooper, but, is this really appropriate? Is Purim a time to “let go” of our higher rational thinking or is it in fact a time of heightened simcha?
Is it worth it if even ONE unthinking person tries this trick and gets hurt?
very cute but what does this have 2 do w the news
This is absolutely appaling. This is seemingly making light of irresponsible, if not, dangerous behavior.
We are trying to show bochurim that they must be very responsible with what and how they imbibe on Purim. Any glorification of irresponsible activity makes it into a fraternity party and not the yom haKadosh is it supposed to be.
This is not amusing. This should be removed immediately so no heiligeh yiddishe neshomo should be nichshol because they saw this here.
People: GROW UP.
THIS IS A JOKE.
YW, ignore them.
Ah Freilichen Purim.
Very cute!
Thanks for the pre-purim shtick!

THIS IS A JOKE.
YW, ignore them.
Ah Freilichen Purim.
Ha! Ha! A real funny joke!! Ha Ha! Why dont you take a swig Hocker? What on earth if funny about someone burning himself? Is it a joke because it isn’t you?
YW – There are plenty of other funny video’s you can post in honor of Purim but this…?????
People lighten up! what are you so concered about? Any mature adult will know not to do that (especially after seeing what happens to this unfortunate guy) and young children are very likely NOT on this website.
dreikup- You better get away from your computer fast so that your “heiligeh yiddishe neshomo shouldn’t be nichshol” by something else on the internet, chalilah.
this is geshmak!! gevaldig purim shtick!!
Do you people complaining have much sense in yourselves??This is something every parent should see so as to be aware of the dangers our teens face.I think it is 100% right in posting this.
As far as kids trying this:Are your KIDS looking at the internet to be able to see this clip??If yes,you should have a much bigger concern on your head. This is for adults-although, seeing some of the comments-i do ask myself that question.
Dear Correction, I think the term “lighten up” may be misunderstood here, because that is actually what is happening to the poor guy, he’s lighting up 🙂 !! Perhaps that’s why everyone is getting so upset about this. As to why it is posted even thought it is not news? Well, maybe because this site it the only one where we can go on the Internet and “let loose” B’heter for just a bit!! YW – APPLAUSE!!! Please post more.
I think “the hocker” is 100% right….everyone has to chil out and stop being so critical!
p.s. we miss u!!!!!!!!!!!
Perhaps as kapparah for the post, YW editor should post the appeal by gedolim regarding excessive shikrus on Purim, and the mar’eh mekomos they give for assering it.
I just tried it and it is not as hard as it looks…….. lighten up all you well meaning parents out there – we were kids too
Fest norah! I cant wait to try this out on the freshies!
To Abi meleibt:
Uh, last I checked, people werent serving fireballs at thier seuda. Now, unless, some kids are spending thier seuda at the local disco, you are correct, but please! Stop making an inane excuse for wanting to see someone’s face on fire!!
AAAAHHHHH!!!
YW – PLEASEEEE!!!!
The purim Drinkfest is way out of control!
as a 20 year old yeshiva bochur, there are guys in my school that could miss davening for weeks in a row do all sorts of crazy things.. then when purim comes around…. they hide behind the mitzvah?!? there is no mitzvah to get drunk at age 15-23.
It was obviously posted to demonstrate how you can burn out your mouth and esophagus by doing dumb things on Purim or any other time. If that saves one foolish person from injury it is worthwhile.
HOW DID HE LIGHT THE LIQUID?
LAST TIME I TRIED TO LIGHT WATTER IT DIDNT WORK. BUT I HAVE LIT ALCAHOL AND ITS MORE SHTIK THEN FIRE
i know someone in E. Y. that got his face burnt and almost didnt make it. a yeshiva bachur
I enjoy your site, but am very disturbed to see this posted here. I frequent Yeshiva World specifically in order to avoid this type of site. Please reconsider and remove.
You wasted a spot of a worthwhile article, by including this ridiculous video. Wishes for a safe, secure and Purim full of kiddush hashem.
ok, listen up everybody – I have the inside scoop as to why this video clip was posted – believe it or not, the nk thread only has 20 comments as compared to the normal 100 plus. this item was used by YW as a distraction so he does not have to read/edit the 100’s of nk comment submissions!
what does this have to do with purim he’s doing libun on his braces for pesach
Id rather sleep away Purim..and be Yotzeh
I am very disturbed from seeing this on YW.
Some people today don’t understand Purim is a holier day than even Yom Kippur (“the day like Purim”). Despite popular belief all halachos of the Torah remain in full effect, including behaving as befits someone representing Hashem. Keeping the torah and having fun on Purim are not contradictions themselves. The problem is some people today don’t know where to draw the line between having fun and behaving like the goyim.
Think about it!
that is the reason children dont belong on the computer or web
THIS is the reason???
What a joke……
yyy – get real! this site is not harmful in anyway whatsoever to children! there are many reasons why children don’t belong on the web AND we adults all know the reasons!
I share this site with my children to give them a clear clean dose of news and things of importance – I do not let them read all the comments because some of them call in to question the judgement of our Gedolim.
I haven’t shared this clip with my children YET, but I will and I will explain to them the foolish people do foolish things and real life decisions are for keeps – no do-overs (not talking about aveiras and t’shuva).
I would like to see in the next Purim clip – a series of lungs from clean healthy lungs to lungs deseased from smoking cigarettes! many boys and perhaps girls thinking they are “acting cool” on Purim think one cigarette will not hurt — 1 leads to 2…
a freilechen and SAFE Purim to all my friends (all Yidden) here and all over the world!
Looking at the video? I must say that I find it very disturbing. As a wife of a busy member of Hatzolo for everyone story that the public hears about Bochrim drinking and some times almost dying from excess, there are dozens more kept silent, for personal reasons. Some of them would make you sick. I personally do not think that someone will drink or not because of this video, but it does not belong on this site. Purim is a day when utilized properly, with Tefillah, you can ask what you want from HaShem and if you are Zoche, all your tefillos could be fulfilled.
A Freilechen and Lustige Purim to all of Klal Yisroel.
if the oilam can please calm down whoever is on yw is old enough to be on the web (i hope) so does it really make a diff to see this joke if u stop being so extreme and look at the message behind it u would not have a prob yw you are the best keep it up
dear yechiel f.
there is a gemara in megila “chayiv inish libesumay ad dilo yada…”
it does no say that 15 to 23 are patur
