Jerusalem police report a burning tire was the cause of the Wednesday morning 10 Adar fire in the Chapel of the Ascension Church in the Mt. Scopus area of Jerusalem. According to police, the fire was not reported when it should have, resulting in the damage.

It has been learned from the preliminary investigation that a adjacent building in the complex was broken into, and a burning tire was placed inside. There was significant damage to a store in the complex. No one has claimed credit for the blaze at the time of this report.
