Jared Kushner Met With Russian Before Inauguration

jaredA White House official says President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and the man who would become national security adviser, Michael Flynn, met with Russia’s ambassador to the U.S. in December.

The official calls the sit-down at New York’s Trump Tower a “brief courtesy meeting.”

Flynn was fired last month because he misled Vice President Mike Pence and other White House officials about his contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

The Trump team’s public accounting of Flynn’s conversations with the ambassador have changed multiple times. The White House did not confirm the in-person meeting — or Kushner’s contact with the ambassador — until Thursday.

The official isn’t authorized to discuss the matter publicly and insists on anonymity.

  1. I’m really not troubled by Kushner’s meetings in the same way as Flynn or Sessions. For many of us, he is one of the more rational and level-headed voices of moderation in this White House and would not want him marginalized. Trump needs to “open the kimono” on all these Russian contacts, get this whole issue behind him and move on. This drip, drip, drip is deadly for both him and the country as a whole.

  2. Why does this White House insist on shooting otself in the leg each and every day!!! Just shut up and don’t answer the charges. The Dems are bitter sour loosers and they’re getting you all entangled in silly non-issue controversies. Don’t respond! Just take the heat and let them cry baby it off!

  3. Why is everything hidden and covered up by this administration? Only admitted to when it becomes public knowledge, very shady. Why is trump hiding his tax returns?

  4. Uh oh! Just the other day in shut a russian was collecting money and I donated. I think I better run away to Israel.
