I ​ a​ m a 56 y ​ear old ​​divorced parent with ​3 children aged, 15,17 (currently in Yeshiva) and 18 who are living at home with me. I have the sole responsibility for the children’s welfare. Life has been extremely difficult for me, but I have been determined to keep the family together and provide for their needs. I work very hard at a local business and am well known in the community. The truth be told, I am struggling to cope with the financial burdens I have. One of my children has a congenital disease called selection of chromosome 18 disorder, which incurs extra costs for special medical care, mentors and specialist teachers. ​

​My underlying financial situation is due to a business project in Israel close to 15 years ago, where I entered a business partnership (Bakery), where the partners deceived me. I was left to run the solely run the business whilst they were siphoning off large sums of money for their own personal use. The business collapsed and the large debts were left in my name and I have been struggling to pay these back ever since.

To somehow juggle with all my financial obligations I have had to take out large loans from the Banks and several Gemachim.

Despite the huge emotional and financial stress, I am determined for the sake of my children to continue to be able to support and encourage them to succeed in their lives ahead.
