Following the recent arson attack against the Yad Shabtai Shul in Ashdod, avreich was assaulted earlier in the week by delinquent youths from the community.

Shortly before 10:00pm on Tuesday night, a number of the hoodlums accosted a female in the Rova Zayin neighborhood. An avreich who passed by was then assaulted and beaten by the youths. The attackers fled and police were summoned. Residents report the response was unacceptably tardy.
