It appears that once again, an IDF investigation into a reported incident reveals that PA (Palestinian Authority) report of the death of a man waiting at a military checkpoint lacked a basis in fact. PA sources reported he died on Saturday of cardiac arrest after being compelled to wait at a checkpoint for hours.

According to the results of the investigation conducted by Jordan Valley Battalion Command, the man arrived at the checkpoint without an ID card and was informed he may not cross as a result. It was his own decision to remain, with IDF commanders explaining he was not detained or compelled to remain at the checkpoint at any time.
