Police on Sunday morning prevented right-wing activists Noam Federman and Yehuda Glick from entering the Har Habayis complex, stating their intended actions are nothing more than a provocation to the Islamic community. They arrived with a goat, trying to bring a korban (sacrifice) ahead of yomtov.
Police cited their intended actions are also contrary to rulings from Israel’s chief rabbis, adding they do permit non-Muslim visitors but such actions are simply provocative and therefore, prohibited.
Federman was also arrested on erev yomtov (first day) when he arrived with a goat as he did today.
