MK (Machane Tzioni) Shelly Yacimovich told Kol Chai Radio hospital Moti Lavi on Tuesday 11 Shevat that she is entering the race to become the next Histadrut leader, the nation’s national labor federation. She calls on Likud and Shas for their support.

She began by explaining “before all, I must say it is not bad for me today. Actually, it is quite good and I have been privileged to be selected for what I do. I am not in politics for a job but for the shlichus. I am always looking to see where I can best serve…”

She spoke of her decision to move to the Histadrut race to clean up the corruption and if successful, to be able to champion the battle of the workers of the nation, to be their voice. She called on Shas and Likud supporters who could not vote for her in Knesset due to political differences to take advantage of the situation to vote for her “with a full heart” to head the Histadrut.
