Police have arrested a man in his 60s believed to be the Bnei Brak burglar responsible for many recent break-ins. The arrest was made on Tuesday morning 11 Shevat as a result of actions by the community’s Shomrim organization.

Gush Dan Shomrim officials explaining dozens of volunteers have been involved in efforts to apprehend the suspect, who they describe as “conniving and slippery”. Shomrim worked in cooperation with detectives on the case.

Shomrim volunteers apprehended him in the act, as he was breaking into an apartment. They detained him until police.
