Shas hosted a forum for deputy mayors affiliated with the party around the country. The event was held on Sunday 2 Shevat, in Yerushalayim. Senior party officials including Minister of Religious Services David Azoulai and MKs participated as well.

Deri opened the forum with the recitation of Tehillim on behalf of HaGaon HaRav Aharon Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita. Deri then addressed pressing matters, led by ongoing efforts to reduce chilul Shabbos and the egalitarian prayer area at the Kosel.

Deri added that despite the investigations against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, there will not be early elections but the current coalition will complete its term, another two years.
