I wonder why we don’t have photos of Reb Moshe or Reb Yaakov sitting shiva in their homes for their loved ones? How about of Moshe Rebeinu and Miriam Ha’nivea when they were mourning their brother, Aharon Ha’Cohen. Maybe at Har Sinai wouldn’t it have been great for us yiddin accepting the Torah to have had our cameras/smartphone out snapping photos?
I’ve said it before. I do not think a shiva house is a paparazzi event where photos are snapped and disseminated.
Alizgit you are quite right this behaviour belittles what ought to be a serious opportunity to think of the place gashmius ought to play in our lives. What next ? Sponsorship by a gossip magazine?!!!
