Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman is no stranger to criticism, having been the target of rebuke from many opponents of the current administration and his hard-ball style politics, perhaps his too ‘in your face’ policies at times, evident in his dealings with foreign officials.
Following the Dubai indictment against Israel pertaining to the elimination of a senior Hamas official in a hotel in that country, Lieberman did not issue apologies or explanations, but told reporters “you are watching too many James Bond movies” regarding their pointing a finger of blame a the Mossad despite lacking real evidence. He pointed out that despite the media hype, Dubai has yet to officially forward information to Israel or make a request on a state level.
His infamous incident that embarrassed Turkey’s ambassador, placing him in a lower seat at the minister’s side, resulted in an unfavorable photo-op, which led to Turkey recalling the ambassador for consultations.
The Israeli left is up in arms, unaccustomed to a senior minister exhibiting pride and defying the norm from time-to-time, preferring and more accustomed to the kowtowing policies of Tzipi Livni, who majored in double talking and issuing apologies, explanations and clarifications during her tenure as foreign minister in the previous administration.
On Monday, Lieberman was at it again, boycotting the state visit of Brazilian President Luis Lula Da Silva after the visiting dignitary refused to visit the grave of Theodore Herzl. That alone may not have elicited such a harsh reaction from the foreign minister, but coupled with the knowledge that Brazil maintains a close relationship with Iran, Lieberman absented himself from the special session in honor of Da Silva.
The Brazilian leader’s ties with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad did not prevent the the president from calling for a nuke free world during his address, while also expressing his country’s support for Israel’s existence.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu called on Da Silva to join the coalition against Iran towards preventing Tehran from achieving nuclear independence. This is unlikely as one of Da Silva’s stops in the region is Iran, where he and Ahmadinejad are scheduled to meet.

May HaKadosh Baruch Hu protect him and look after him. In an Amalek dominated world this man is a breath of fresh air. The reshaim of the UN, AI etc think they can set the rules, which most people blindly accept and follow, such as coming up with ideas as disproportionate response or human rights for terrorists, and the mindless sheep of the world just follow, baaaaarely resisting.
Avigdor Liberman doesn’t try to argue with them on their terms. He sets the field. When someone argues with you without logic, you cannot disprove them with logic. Yet you always see people try and it normally ends up with both parties looking like cretins.
If they call Israel an apartheid state, this is obviously such rubbish only an imbecile will try to prove it isn’t. The only way is to destroy their standing and mock them as they deserve and sit their ambassador on a little chair.
The UN, the left and all those who hate Truth are very scared of someone that doesn’t follow them, hence the criticism of him.
When the Chief Rabbi of England, Rabbi Jonathan Sacks was asked to enter a debate whether the holocaust took place, he said “of course, as long as we first debate whether the earth is round or flat”. Had he argued with them he would have lent credance to their evil, had he refused they would have said he’s scared and has no answer so he mocked them.
As David Hamelech said: With the pure deal purely, with the twisted deal perversely.
Call it as it is: Honesty, Accuracy and Integrity. Lieberman has been the first politician to ‘say it like it is’ without fawning the press, his friends and the krum nations of the world.
Problem is, no one expects or wants to hear the truth or facts any more. The world is waiting for “CHANGE”…some ridiculous nonsense word.
