Sheikh Raid Salah, who heads the Northern Branch of the Israel Islamic Association, was released from prison on Tuesday morning after serving a nine-month sentence. Salah boarded a number 369 bus and headed home.

His most recent sentence was for a conviction on incitement charges. He has served prison terms in the past for his association with Hamas.

Interior Minister Aryeh Deri on Monday signed an order prohibiting Salah from leaving the country, explaining doing so would represent a danger to state security.
