Until such time that terrorists are released from Israeli prisons in prisoner exchange deals, many opt to avail themselves of the may services offered them, including completing high school diplomas and obtaining a higher education. In actuality, Arab youths have in the past committed an act resulting in their imprisonment to permit obtaining a high school diploma.

One such individual is master terrorist Marwan Barghouti, the heinous individual serving five live sentences for his activities as the commander of Fatah’s Tanzim unit, responsible for the deaths of tens of Israelis.

Barghouti, who appears on Hamas’ list in the ongoing negotiations to secure a deal for the release of Gilad Shalit is completing with doctorate studies in prison via the University of Cairo. He used hundreds of Israeli documents towards completing his dissertation addressing the PA’s contribution to democracy.
