Two Givati Brigade combatants are facing charges for their actions in Operation Cast Lead, Israel’s counter-terrorism offensive against Hamas in Gaza launched in December 2008.
The soldiers are alleged to have compelled a 9-year-old Arab boy to open a bag they suspected may contain a bomb. The soldiers are facing charges of endangering the young civilian’s life and engaging in unacceptable military practice.

I hope that this is an isolated incident and NEVER happens again. We don’t kill innocent civilians. While I agree that they don’t value their own lives or the lives of their children we aren’t them. We have morals and standards and risking the life of a 9 year old boy is most reprehensible!
