Major traffic snarls are expected on Thursday morning along Highway 1 and the Ayalon Highway northbound as a result of the visit to Tel Aviv University by US President Joe Biden. Motorists are urged to familiarize themselves with police traffic bulletins to avoid the roadways during the periods they are shut down to accommodate the vice president’s motorcade. The vice president is scheduled to deliver his address at 11:30am.
The Jerusalem – Tel Aviv Highway will be closed in the direction of Tel Aviv from 9:00am-11:00am and major delays are expected as a result.
After his appearance at Tel Aviv University, the vice president will travel to the Defense Ministry on Kaplan Street in Tel Aviv. There he will meet with Defense Minister Ehud Barak. That will end his three-day visit and he will then fly to Jordan.
