At long last, bottle recycling collection bins have been brought to Jerusalem’s Ramat Shlomo neighborhood. Working with local officials, 20 bins have been placed around the community. The bins were purchased by Jerusalem City Hall and the Environmental Ministry.
Sadly, Israel lags behind N. America regarding recycling, with many Israelis still to unaware regarding the need to recycle many materials as is done in other developed countries.

“Other” developed countries?
You’re making one mistake here. Israel is not a developed country. Maybe it’s on the way to becoming that – but for the moment it’s still a *developing* country. I saw this confirmed once again last week in one newspaper, which wrote praise about the fact that Israel was considered one of the most succesful *developing* countries in the world.
