Israel Environmental Ministry officials are issuing an air quality alert for the entire country for Tuesday. This appears to be the result of sand storms in the region that have blown in a quantity of pollutants that are particularly offensive to people suffering respiratory and cardiac ailments.

Such people are strongly advised to remain indoors if at all possible. A significant drop in temperatures and haze conditions is expected on Tuesday night. Forecasters are predicting a sharav heat-wave for Wednesday.
