The CityPass Company which operates the Jerusalem light rail, announces that beginning next week, the nationwide ‘Erech Tzibur’ program will be accepted for travel on the light rail too. That means travel that began on a bus may continue on the light rail without additional charge providing the latter is within the allotted period of time. The same is true in reverse, travel originating on the train will be honored on the bus.
CityPass adds that travel continued from a bus for a number of passengers charged to one smart card which contains the ‘Erech Tzibur’ package or even local Jerusalem travel payment plan, one will able to continue one’s travel on the same ‘Rav Kav’ smart card on the light rail. Validation at the start of one’s travel on the light rail will permit only the one passenger.

Please note that the correct Hebrew term is Erech Tzabur (accumulated value), and not Erech Tzibur (a refined public).
Chanukah sameach!
it’s “erech TZAVUR” (accumulated value), not tzibur
but great news, finally i won’t be wasting my money 🙂
