A three-justice panel in the Jerusalem Traffic Court ruled authorities may continue using the mobile breathalyzer test to determine the blood alcohol level of drivers but the units must  be recalibrated to permit a higher blood alcohol level before declaring a motorist inebriated. Exact figures are not available at this time.

The ruling is not retroactive and therefore will not impact offenders found guilty in the past or those currently facing legal procedings.
