Brooklyn, NY – As part of the annual “Change Your Clocks, Change Your Batteries” campaign, the FDNY Fire Safety Education Unit in conjunction with the New York Rescue Response Team (NYRRT) will be distributing FREE 9-volt batteries and fire safety materials at the following two Brooklyn locations:

Williamsburg: Tuesday March 9th 11:00 – 3:00pm at Lee Ave. between Williamsburg Street East and Williamsburg Street West.

Boro Park: Thursday March 11th 11:00 – 3:00 PM at 13th Avenue and 49th Street (in front of Blue Dish Cafe).

This campaign is aimed at promoting fire safety awareness and reminding New Yorkers about the importance of having a working smoke alarm / carbon monoxide detector in their homes.

The batteries are donated by the FDNY Foundation, which supports equipment, training and education initiatives.
