Israeli Wounded in Berlin Attack is Out of Life-Threatening Danger; Wife Remains Missing

berRami Elyakim, the Israeli who was seriously wounded in the truck ramming attack in Berlin this week is out of life-threatening danger. His injuries are to his pelvic region and legs.

According to reports on Wednesday morning 21 Kislev, his wife Dalia remains missing. They were walking together when the truck slammed into the outdoor market, killing 12 and wounding dozens of others.

The couple, in their 60s, residents of Herzliya Pituach, were in the marketplace when the attack occurred. Their children, Ohr, 28, and his sister Chen, 26, have flown to Berlin. Mrs. Elyakim has not been in touch since the attack. Their insurance company, PassportCard, is working with the family, Israel Foreign Ministry and Israeli diplomatic officials in Berlin as efforts continue to locate Dalia.

Authorities report the DNA from the 23-year-old suspect taken into custody does not match the blood found in the truck. The terrorist hijacked the truck several hours before the attack, murdering the driver and then using the vehicle to plow into the crowd.
