It appears that products under the Yerei’im shechita of HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita will be offered for sale in Shefa Shuk, in the coming weeks before Pesach. This some view will deliver a serious blow to boycott efforts against the supermarket chain owned by Dudi Weissman.
A number of weeks ago, Hamodia reported that Rav Kanievsky did not give a bracha to the managers of Shefa Shuk as was reported by YWN-Israel (http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/article.php?p=48210), adding the rumors that Rebbitzin Kanievsky was giving out yomtov shopping vouchers for Shefa Shuk are simply untrue. Kikat.net explains this because Hamodia “sides with the Shefa Shuk boycott”.
The Homodia report followed earlier reports that the managers of Shefa Shuk met with Rav Kanievsky and he gave them a bracha. Denials regarding the Hamodia report appeared in both Yated and HaMevaser, stating Rav Kanievsky does not oppose buying in Sheva Shuk.
Kikar reports that “interested parties” however did not accept this, continuing to push the boycott, claiming they have a recording in which R’ Kanievsky does indeed support a boycott of the store. The war of pashkavilim has picked up momentum, taking a prominent place on the walls of Bnei Brak.
It now appears a deal was reached with Rav Shevach Rosenblatt, who heads the Yerei’im schita operation, in which the schita will be sold in Shefa Shuk before Pessach.

why don’t they ask him instead of waisting $
It’s not so easy to get to him to ask – many times the questions and answers are filtered through his aides who can have their own interests to support.
I would like to start a boycott against anyone who pushes, cuts the line or rebbe who doesn’t condone rude behavior.
Sounds like Hamodia has a vested interest in the ‘boycott” – real or imagined.
