Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has undergone surgery for a hernia in Tel Hashomer Hospital in Tel Aviv.

The operation took place over the weekend, with general anesthesia. Mr. Olmert has already been released and ordered to remain home and rest. Physicians report the surgery went well, without complications, adding it is not expected to result in any delays in the ongoing legal proceedings involving the former prime minister.
