Bnei Brak Municipality inspectors faced off against talmidei yeshiva during the night as the inspectors came, escorted by police, to remove the yeshiva from its location.
The inspectors arrived at Yeshivas Shar Talmud (Braverman) after City Hall made the decision to evacuate the premises and destroy it. Talmidim who were in the dorm came out and blocked inspectors, leading to confrontations. Officials however succeeded in destroying a portion of the building during the predawn operation. In the interim, the heads of the yeshiva succeeded in obtaining a court order to halt the evacuation until both sides are heard in a court of law.
There were no reports of injuries or arrests.

How can Bnei Brak of all places want to destroy a YESHIVA???
why did the inspectors want to destroy the yeshiva? Anyone know?
wouldnt be surprised if it was totally illegal construction & a fire trap CHV
Oakland was bad enough when the city inspectors failed to enforce the codes
In the government of Israel, chareidim are a bigger enemy than Arab terrorists. If they’d have their way, they’d destroy all yeshivos.
Have you noticed that the thousands of illegal Arab homes were never destroyed?
YWN, Please don’t print half a story. Why did the inspectors want to destroy the place?
YWN, either report a complete story, or perhaps better leave a half baked tidbit off the site. It doesn’t seem quite so professional.
Of course YWN knows why
They feel that they should also be bias to counter balance secular journalism
We can never get perfect balance
There has been previous articles about this this is an illegal structure and probably a safety hazard as there were no inspections during construction. Should be demolished ASAP. I believe it is an avera to walk into such a structure. The ones running this Yeshiva should be ashamed of themselves
YWN and other media have reported on this matter previously and comprehensively. The “Yeshiva” structure was constructed and occupied illegally and there have been several court hearings on the matter. Its not like some rouge inspector showed up with a bulldozer and tried to “destroy” some beis medrash selected at random. Even in BB there are laws and regulations that need to be followed and here, they are enforcing a lawful court order.
