A con artist operating in Kiryat Sefer, a man exhibiting a chareidi outward appearance has been apprehended. The man drove around the community in an expensive vehicle, asking for a mere NIS 30 for gas. For reasons that are not explained, the perpetrator asked for checks or credit cards, not wishing to accept cash. He would leave collateral, use the credit card in the nearby gas station, and then return it and take his collateral back. As he was tending to business, he copied the details of the credit cards for future use.
As this became increasingly frequent, a number of avreichim decided to follow the man around, apprehending him this week near the shopping center in the Brachfeld area. He was at it again, asking people for money for gas. The avreichim asked him to stop, and at a moment when they were no looking, he fled.
The avreichim took off after him, and some involved in efforts to apprehend him set up at the entrance to the community, anticipating his arrival. He was apprehended and turned over to police who are moving ahead with criminal charges.

This is at least the second time thieves have disguised themselves as chareidem.
THEREFOR;
A- Who knows how many other “chareidem” thieves were just disguised.
B- The fact that they disguise themselves as chareidem shows deep done most people accept the fact chareidem are ehrlich. It is because we are ehrlich, that the few who are not make a splash across the news.
TAKE CHIZUK AT THIS TIME OF HESTER PONIM !!
We have finished the 4 golius, we are in the precursor to “yoimeh arichta”. This is called golus Ishmael where sheker and hepuch (lies and deceits and reversed values) reigns.
Hang in there it’s not long in coming.
New paradigm arriving!
Do these Avreichim think they are shomrim or something?
YW Editor: I think there’s a typo in the title and “Cared” should read “Card”.
to # 1 shkoyach for the chizuk
#3, can you read?
The people who gave their cheques and cresit cards to a yid in need displeyed great chessed for a yid in need and i don`t want to chas vesholom take away from that. I just feel like there is a way to display chessed and still be cautious – KABDEIHU veCHASHDEIHU – Respect him, but be wary of him. One has to guard his property and assets from the hands or ramaim and ganavim….When someone turns down cash or demands credit cards…to allow a “properly dressed” stranger (or even acquaintance) free reign with your credit card..these are definitely instances where it`s kedai to exercise caution…go with to the gas station and make the payment yoursel,or give cash only, or offer a drink and a phone call – but don`t be naive, even “Chareidim” R’L are not always trustworthy…

For such a “Chashuva Yid” you obviously have no idea that YW corrected the title AFTER I sent in the comment. Yes, B”H I can read. But maybe ask yourself if you can speak?!
they are all over the place. when they ask me for money, bderech kall i give them a piece of my mind instead. only sometimes (like if the guy is on line for the bus with me and asks me for half a sheqel) i give people who say they ‘are stuck’.
the worst part is(if you live in israel in a frum city you have been approached ) is the little kids who ask for ‘dmei chanuka’ or ‘dmei purim’ from perfect strangers in the street. they get nothing from me – what are they doing shnorring at such a young age?
my only exception is for the 6-10 year olds on purim. when they ask me for money, i say ‘i will give you a shekel if you promise me NEVER to try a cigarette this purim’.(it breaks my heart to see little 7 year old kids having their first puff on purim )
and of course i give yeshiva boys collecting for their yeshiva
