Police operating at the Tapuach Junction area of the Shomron detained a number of right-wing youths who were distributing a flyer calling on soldiers not to comply with orders to remove Jews from their homes.
Two youths were taken into custody for continuing to distribute the flyers, a violation of law prohibiting incitement.
The deadline for the eviction of residents from Amona and its destruction is December 25, 2016, as set by the High Court of Justice. There is a growing call for persons to come to Amona to face-off with police and soldiers as the residents of the community, approximately forty families, vow Amona will not fall again. All efforts to persuade residents to accept an offer to relocated to another Shomron venue have been rejected by residents.
Dati leumi rabbonim have also called on the public to stand firm to prevent the eviction of Amona, albeit calling for passive resistance only and absolutely no violence.
