Chen Block z”l, 10, is the child who was run over and killed R”L by an armored border police patrol vehicle on Tuesday night the eve of 29 Cheshvan near his home community of Tekoa.

The atmosphere in nearby Tekoa is one of aveilus due to the tragic accident, which is under investigation by police. Chen, a fifth grader, was an outstanding student family and friends explain, adding he was always sensitive of his surroundings and the needs of others.

Police report the fatal accident occurred at about 19:15 as the armored vehicle struck the child riding his bike near Tekoa. MDA paramedics pronounced him dead on the scene. Paramedic Elad Benstein explains the child was under the armored vehicle when he arrived.
