Health Minister Yaakov Litzman, who is currently in the United States, took a trip Upstate NY on Sunday evening.
Rabbi Litzman visited Westchester Medical Center and met with Rabbi Yisrael Kahan, who serves as the medical liaison along with R’ Aaron Aryeh Reiner who heads the medical referral office and Rockland County Bikur Cholim. Other mental health professionals from all backgrounds also took part in the meeting.
He then visited the New Square Community, where he held several meetings – first at the home of the Skvere Rebbe Shlita.
That meeting followed with a meeting at the Village Garage with Hatzolah members, New Square Mayor, all Roshei Hakehilla, Village Trustees, and other community leaders.
Litzman also visited the Vishnitzer Rebbe of Monsey Shlita.
The visit to New Square was coordinated and arranged by New Square Mayor Yisrael Moshe Spitzer and Village Coordinator Moshe Kaff.
During his current visit, Rabbi Litzman also visited Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan and other health institutions in New York City.
