I hear another Rav saying that he thought Thanksgiving was OK to celebrate but he feared that maybe Jews might end up participating in other non Jewish holidays.
I guess the Rebbe was not worried.

R Miller said it was not ok and that it was a religious holiday.
R Moshe said there’s room to permit and it isn’t a Christian thing.
I asked my Rebbi, a renowned rav in the northeast, and he said it was fine.
