Laurie Cardoza-Moore, Special United Nations Envoy for the WCICC and President of Proclaiming Justice to The Nations, issued the following statement on the appointment of Governor Nikki Haley as the new UN Ambassador for the United States of America:
“I want to congratulate Governor Nikki Haley and President-Elect Trump and his transition team on an outstanding choice for UN Ambassador. Governor Haley has demonstrated her commitment to stand with Israel by supporting pro-Israel legislation like the anti-BDS bill that she signed into law in 2015. Under Governor Haley’s leadership, South Carolina became the third state in the nation to adopt anti-BDS legislation, following anti-BDS resolutions signed by Governor Haslam of Tennessee and Governor Pence of Indiana.
Clearly, she will bring that support to an institution desperately in need of balance on the existential threats Israel faces among the nations represented at the UN. As the World Council of Independent Christian Church’s Special Envoy at the UN and President of Proclaiming Justice to The Nations, I’m looking forward to working with Governor Haley in her new capacity as US Ambassador at the UN.”
