This is the second time the Health Ministry survey was conducted, part of Health Minister Yaakov Litzman’s effort for increased transparency in the health system and to encourage healthcare givers to improve where possible. The average rating was 78%. Litzman is not pleased with the average for as explained, almost one out of every four patients is not pleased with the care received and this is unacceptable to the minister.
In all of the hospitals included in the survey, 500 discharged patients were questioned from May to July 2016 and each had to have spent at least two nights in hospitalization. They were contacted within two weeks of discharge by phone by a representative of the Health Ministry.
