Both LaGuardia and Newark airports have landed dead last in an annual survey that ranks customer satisfaction at large airports across the country.
Amongst medium-sized airports, LaGuardia dropped from second place in last year’s J.D. Power & Associates survey to last place this year.
Newark ranked last amongst large airports.
The annual survey ranks airports based on check-in procedure, security, terminal facilities and baggage claim among other factors.
In response to the ranking, a Port Authority spokesperson released a statement saying, “Our airports have fared well in other previous surveys, including J.D. Power’s results in 2006 and 2008 when LaGuardia placed first and second respectively. Airport Revenue News, for example, has consistently rated our airports’ concessions high in customer satisfaction.”
