IDF Officer Stripped Of His Command For Fleeing Terror Attack Instead Of Responding


1A policeman and a civilian were killed in a Sunday, October 9, 2016 terrorist shooting attack that occurred near National Police Headquarters in Yerushalayim; Yassam policeman Yosef Kirma HY”D, 29 and 60-year-old Levana Malichi HY”D. The terrorist, who was driving a vehicle, opened fire in a number of locations, leaving a number of people wounded until police finally neutralized him.

During the probe into the fatal attack it was learned and IDF officer who was there turned around and fled instead of responding to assist or try to neutralize the terrorist. He is seen fleeing the scene in area surveillance video. While he was not ousted from the military, he was thrown out of his command position for “acting contrary to that which is expected from an officer”, the IDF Spokesman’s Office message read.

  1. Well I understand him. Elor Azaria & other soldiers who pulled out their guns in order to protect our people are being persecuted, so why should he risk being tried in court afterwards for some “unhuman treatment of the poor little arab” who really just had a knife and was not really going to kill him specifically. It’s sickening this whole scenario and I feel like if we’re in Sdom.
