Rockland County Legislator Aron B. Wieder is condemning acts of anti-Semitism after graffiti reading “No Jews” was found spray-painted on a street and on a Realtor’s sign in Pomona as first reported earlier by YWN.
“I know people from all walks of life in Rockland, from various towns and villages, and of various backgrounds,” Wieder said. “Most of our residents are decent people who care about their families and their communities. They would never engage in this type of behavior.
“Unfortunately, there is a small group that has engaged in hate,” Wieder said. “It is up to the rest of us to stand as one in the face of this repugnant belief system and behavior. I know the majority of county residents join with me in condemning these actions.”
Ramapo Police are investigating this anti-Semitic incident, according to a report on lohud.com. Officers found graffiti at two homes for sale on Carteret Drive, as well as a Realtor’s “For Sale” sign.
