NYC Mayor DeBlasio Calls For Anti-Trump Protests To Continue: Says Trump Has No Mandate To Rule

debThe following is via Breaking911.com:

Mayor de Blasio urged all Americans to continue protesting President-elect Trump on Monday.

“We have to recognize that all over this country, the more disruption that’s caused peacefully … the more it will change the trajectory of things,” said de Blasio in an interview.

De Blasio said that resistance is entirely necessary, claiming that Trump is likely to lose the popular vote and therefore will ‘not have a mandate to rule.’

“We need to hold Trump accountable for anything he does that encourages hate and division … The more extreme he is, the more people fight back, the more it takes away his power.”

Speaking about Stephen Bannon, de Blasio said, “An organization that’s been closely linked to white supremacists is going to have a representative in the White House.”

De Blasio also said that Trump’s comments regarding increasing stop and frisk will not happen.

“That’s not going to happen on my watch,” the mayor said.

  1. NO ONE IS EXCITED ABOUT BANNON- I HOPE HE GETS DUMPED BUT
DE BLASIO OVERSTEPPED HIS BOUNDS AND IS SETTING A DANGEROUS EXAMPLE AND PRECEDENT WHICH IS ALSO NOT THE AMERICAN WAY–, WHAT DOES HE HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH BY ENCOURAGING DISTURBANCES.HE IS THE ONE WHO IS ACTUALLY CAUSING HATE AND DIVISION AND MORE VIOLENCE THAN HAS EVER BEEN AFTER AN ELECTION.

  2. Very nice. So this idiot has now alienated the incoming President, hurting all New Yorkers even those of his own ilk. Why bother quoting this one term lame duck Mayor? This lazy good for nothing cant even get along with the Democrat Governor. Hopefully Preet Bharara can do us all a favor & get rid of the duffus a little earlier.

  3. Wish all the crybabies would just get over-it. Trump won legally – fair and square. Can’t believe the mayor has nothing to do except waste time and encourage disruptions.

  4. let me speak to my people in their own language:

Como simpatizante comunista, debo alentar a todos a ser anarquistas y seguir el modelo de alinsky. Vamos a superar será reemplazado por quemar quemadura de bebé.

  5. DeBlasio’s right to govern NY is also in question. But he will claim that he was voted into office fair and square. So, לשיטתו, voting matters. He has the right to have a personal opinion, but in public statements as mayor, he must represent the city. I highly doubt a majority of residents of NYC are willing to see incitement to riot and trash the city. This approach is outrageous, and he needs to be thrown out of office.

  6. I am shocked to the extreme how a mayor of such a big city as New York can sound so totally clueless how things work. Can he honestly not know that the electoral college is the deciding factor and not the popular vote??This is quite incredible-encouraging people to do acts of futility!!!!These people are wasting time, and need to move on in life.

  7. No president-elect gets a mandate, no matter the popular or electoral college vote. He gets a constitution, which tells him and the rest of us what he can and cannot do, a pretty good salary, a nice house, the use of a car, plane and helicopter, and some body-guards. He has to provide his own golf clubs.

  8. It is really a fascinating thing when you hear of the mayor of a town actually encouraging people to break the law. Does he so loath the processes we have for making and following laws that he cannot man-up and understand how things are supposed to work in the country? Seems like he should be held as an accomplice for federal crimes, should they be committed in his name.

  9. Mayor de Blasio urged all Americans to continue protesting President-elect Trump on Monday Doesn’t this constitute a violation of his oath of office? & hence shouldn’t he be impeached and replaced by another mayor even before next year’s election?

  10. The little power man really needs to look hard in the mirror and say there’s the dumbest man known to earth. I think he should jump more red lights to help is ridiculous “vision zero” if your a pedestrian walk in front of cars. Crazy little attention seeker!!!

  11. I find it interesting that you Trump sycophants gloss over the fact that Trump has appointing Bannon to a position of extreme importance, but are concerned about DiBlasio encouraging a basic civil liberty. Bannon has ran hateful pieces about Jews often on Brietbart.

  12. The whole election was an embarrassment for the USA. to have 2 characters like this run for the highest office is a disgrace.

Trump had no plan; just a nasty mouth; Clinton had corruption on her side.

    Sick election.

  13. I think the Mayor has forgotten the country he lives in which is a republic ruled by laws. We have a balanced voting system to protect everyone, the individual not the mob….grow up mayor or step down.

Not sure why you are so blinded. Peaceful protests are a protected Constitutional right. Go ahead and do as much of that as time permits. When these demonstrators block traffic, I want them arrested. When they begin to get violent, damaging property, vehicles, stores, etc., I would like to see them subdued with whatever force it takes. That is not a right. That is frank jungle mentality. If I were in charge, I would bring out the equivalent of military force, and stop rioters with any steps, including lethal force. Disagree all you like, and protest as long as you can shift time from your other responsibilities. But when you interfere with me as a single citizen, and with the public, that has left your privilege, and has become a crime. It is immoral and unacceptable to condone crime, and I hope you are not intending to do that.

The implication of DeBlasio is that he wants to see violent protest. There is a criminal statute against inciting violence. If he transgresses that, I want to see him arrested, prosecuted, and thrown out of office.
